Nessebar is a small resort town, one of the most ancient towns in Europe with a population of 10 000 people. The town of Nessebar is located on a small rocky peninsula, connected with the mainland through a narrow 400 m piece of land, which divides the town into two parts: the new one and the old one. Nessebar is at 5 km away from the famous Black sea resort of Sunny Beach.
Nessebar is one of the most attractive resort towns, with an unique architecture and lots of ancient ruins. There are more then 40 churches from the Middle Ages period.
In south and north direction from the town there are many vast sandy beaches, with attractive sand dunes. The lovely beaches, clean sea waters and rocky landscapes give a magnificent look to the resort.
Nessebar is one of the most visited and attractive Bulgarian Black sea resorts, that offers excellent conditions for sea recreation and holiday. In the town there are many shops offering traditional goods, such as rose oil and cosmetics, wines and liqueurs, silver jewellery, souvenirs. There are also many modern hotels and restaurants in the town, also places for fun and entertainment.
